An abandoned stray kitten was handed in to the Animal Referral Hospital with an obvious defect - a broken 'squished' tail. The ARH team quickly realised this kitten had lots of love to give someone in the future so decided to 'fix' the problem by a partial amputation of the tail at no cost.

This procedure would not not harm the kitten long term and give it and it's new owners a reason to keep loving and living! - Emergency Nurse Rachael Smith explains....
