Bear, an irresistible Pomeranian suffered shocking injuries after being hit by a car, losing most of the skin on his back leg and breaking it in several places.

It looked like Bear’s leg might have to be amputated…but Bear’s family and their own Vet thought if anyone could work a miracle it would be surgical specialist Dr Sarah Goldsmid from the Animal Referral Hospital in Sydney.

Were they right?  Three weeks after the accident Dr Sarah is cautiously optimistic.
